The Milk Bar

2009-12

Episodes

Thursday Dec 31, 2009

This week we don't even turn up to the The Milk Bar as Jason narrowcasts live (well pre-recorded) from the kitchen (and not the toilet as it sounds.....)
We bring you a musical review of 2009 with tracks recorded live from 8 of the bands who appeared on The Milk Bar in the last 28 episodes!
There will be a real show - with real microphones - next week!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

Wednesday Dec 23, 2009

This week brings festive cheer, presents and good company with Nina Blakemore and Jan Brookfield joining us to help host the show. Jean Martyn is at the Piano (and on the phone....) and Xanthe Gresham pops along to share a story. Rob Heeney puts a smile on our faces and Bob Lawrence, Director of Wildlife from the West Midlands Safari Park calls in to tell us how the animals mark a day off at Christmas!
Technical difficulties abound (but at least we now know why Jason keeps appearing off mic.... must fix that in the new year!!) and there is editing aplenty with a Baby Grand to record in a sort of simultaneous outside broadcast!
NB Special thanks to Jim & David from ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha
A very Happy Christmas to you and yours from all of us in The Milk Bar!!!!

Thursday Dec 17, 2009

This week in The Milk Bar we hear from Chris Spittle from Rainbow Theatre about their production of Puss in Boots at the Mill Theatre, Andy Reiss joins us from Beyond the Barricade - a touring musical theatre company. Music this installment comes from Chris Whiting with his charity single release 'My Boy'
Settle down and wrap your Christmas presents to this week's slightly husky version of The Milk Bar....

Thursday Dec 10, 2009

This week in The Milk Bar Jean Martyn tells us about her trip to the palace and meeting Dame Vera Lynn, music comes from 'El Dog' and we tell you about their FREE seasonal offering  and we talk to Katie Andrews from Wolverhampton Art Gallery about their Art Films Season....
All this and an uncontrollable beeping noise in the background makes this an interesting episode of The Milk Bar.....

Wednesday Dec 02, 2009

This week we have music from The E-goswho perform live in The Milk Bar (and mention their forthcoming gig at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on the 19th of December a few times...). Film maker Rob Golcher drops by to tell us about his recent movie & latest project and we hear about a web site for unsigned music that has a weekly chart show.
With no Christmas songs at all (until at least next week) please enjoy this lovely episode of The Milk Bar...
