Thursday Jan 21, 2010

This week in The Milk Bar we should have spent more time editing - but in this relatively Raw and Raucous edition it would have seemed wrong not to share the whole experience with you - more on that later - but first the serious stuff....
This week we hear from Richard Green from The Rotary club in Wolverhampton about the supply of Shelter Boxes to those whose homes have been left devastated by the earthquake in Haiti.
The Monobloggers join us to play live (this is where the chaos begins....) bringing us 3 tracks of musical mayhem, Robert Bowers joins us on the phone as he has a new commission being unveiled (well veiled then re-unveiled) next week and Rob Owen from Revolution Gymnastics Club in Birmingham pops in & Zoe swoons as he lifts his legs an unnaturally long way above his head and does a backflip in a very confined space!
We'll let you work out the bits we should have cut out of this weeks thrilling installment of The Milk Bar!!!

This week we don't even turn up to the The Milk Bar as Jason narrowcasts live (well pre-recorded) from the kitchen (and not the toilet as it sounds.....)
We bring you a musical review of 2009 with tracks recorded live from 8 of the bands who appeared on The Milk Bar in the last 28 episodes!
There will be a real show - with real microphones - next week!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

Wednesday Dec 23, 2009

This week brings festive cheer, presents and good company with Nina Blakemore and Jan Brookfield joining us to help host the show. Jean Martyn is at the Piano (and on the phone....) and Xanthe Gresham pops along to share a story. Rob Heeney puts a smile on our faces and Bob Lawrence, Director of Wildlife from the West Midlands Safari Park calls in to tell us how the animals mark a day off at Christmas!
Technical difficulties abound (but at least we now know why Jason keeps appearing off mic.... must fix that in the new year!!) and there is editing aplenty with a Baby Grand to record in a sort of simultaneous outside broadcast!
NB Special thanks to Jim & David from ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha
A very Happy Christmas to you and yours from all of us in The Milk Bar!!!!
